Walmer Park Shopping Centre - Level 4 Information

COVID-19 Level 4

We are currently operating under level 4 lockdown restrictions, which means a limited number of stores are permitted to trade. This includes supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, pet stores and other stores offering:

  • Winter essentials, including adult winter clothing, footwear, bedding and heaters
  • Baby, toddler, children’s clothing and essentials
  • Hot cooked food for delivery ONLY
  • Toiletries and household cleaning products
  • Hardware supplies
  • Stationery and educational books
  • Airtime and telecommunication services
  • Postal and courier services

Centre Information:

Parking: All parking areas at entrances are open, but our basement parking area remains closed

Entrances : Entrance 1, 2, 3 and 5 are open to the public, Entrance 4 remains closed

Lifts: Lifts are not operational

Bathroom facilities: All bathroom facilities operational

Information Kiosk: Remains closed and Gift Card sales are not permitted

Trading Hours: Our Centre’s Temporary Trading Hours are:

  • Monday - Friday: 09h00 – 17h00
  • Saturdays and Sundays: 09h00 – 14h00.

But store-specific trading hours may differ.

Safety measures:

All shoppers are required to follow the health and safety protocols, please comply with these rules, including:

  • Wearing a face mask or suitable cover, covering their mouth and nose at all times while in the Shopping Centre
  • Practise social distancing of 2 metres
  • Practise good hygiene, including washing hands and using alcohol-based sanitisers
  • A limited number of customers will be allowed the shopping centre and in stores

As per the Government Gazette we are required to limit the number of shoppers in the Centre, this is controlled at each of our open entrances. Upon entry each customer will receive a sanitized colour peg, customers are required to return to the same entrance when exiting the centre and return the peg to the security guard, pegs are re-sanitised.

Plan Ahead:

Prior to and during your visit to the Centre, we recommend that you take the following additional precautionary measures:

  • Create a list of the goods you require in categories to avoid unnecessary browsing
  • Plan your parking and entrance access by checking the map and do not linger in the Centre
  • Avoid browsing and repeatedly picking up and putting down products
  • Making use of no-touch payment methods
  • Make use of the in-store disinfectant wipes when making use of trolleys or baskets
  • If you do feel sick, stay home and seek medical attention

To protect the health, safety, and well-being of our customers, tenants and staff, we have introduced the following additional precautionary measures and cleaning procedures:

  • Increased cleaning routines and disinfecting the common areas and high touchpoints of the Centre.
  • Communicating with our stores regularly, regarding updates and their in-store precautionary measures.
  • Security and Cleaning in our Centre is still a core focus and remains in place.
  • The Centre Management Office is operationally resourced.
